THE curators of a major new sculpture show say they are stunned by the huge public response it has received.
Diane Coates and Andrew Sinclair, from Wendover, opened The Great British Sculpture Show at Hatfield House in Hertfordshire in early April – but already thousands of people have poured in to view the exhibits.
There are more than 80 sculptures from some of the country’s best artists – all of them up for sale.
Diane said: “We knew the show was good but we have been overwhelmed by the number of people who have flocked to see the sculptures.
“I understand it was mayhem on Bank Holiday because there was so much interest.”
The show is open daily from 10am to 5.30pm, excluding Mondays, in the grounds at Hatfield.
