IT was a double celebration for a beauty pagaent contestant as she made it through to the final of the Miss England competition and was crowned Miss Buckinghamshire in the same week.
Holly Finlay was voted through to the grand final of the Miss England contest last week by the judges, making her one of the final ten left in the competition.
She had made it through to the semi final stage after winning the title of Miss Charity, for raising more than £2,000 in a sponsored swim.
The Film and TV Studies student said: "It was such an exciting night and an amazing experience.
"There were three rounds and for one of them I had to create a dress out of recycled products and speak on stage about it.
"I have to make another one for the final and I have to donate a gift for the charity auction on the night. I've got lots to do."
Days after securing her place in the final Holly, of Batchelors Way, Amersham, had another reason to celebrate, as she was also named Miss Buckinghamshire for the forthcoming year.
She said: "It was offered to me because of the work I've done with my fundraising. I've been sent the sash and it looks amazing."
