SUNSHINE glittering from the crystal Thames, the distant pop and fizz of Champagne corks, a dizzying array of bright summer dress and the rhythmic splash of pulling oars - it must be the Marlow Town Regatta.

This year's weekend festival has been hailed as a huge success, with thousands pouring into Higginson Park to eat, drink and mingle their way through Marlow's favourite social occasion.

And here are some of the best pictures from the 14th annual Town Regatta and Festival from our photographer on the ground (and in various boats), Anita Ross Marshall.

We never saw anybody from the BFP on the Sunday so they missed completely the Dragon Boats and Canoe Sprints + a crowd of about 2300, Dog shows and loads of other stuff -

But maybe next year they will spear the time when the International Sprinters return after their successes in the European Marathons this weekend where Canoeists from Marlow won Silver and Bronze (Oh and and they missed that as well but maybe they were too rapped up with the world cup)
