the OPERA-loving Marlovians can look forward to a very special performance from international soprano singer and Brit nominee, Isobel Cooper.

Ms Cooper will take to the stage at the All Saints Church in Marlow on July 19 to raise much needed funds for St. Mary’s Pre-school in Marlow Bottom.

Zoe O’Reilly, who helped organise the event said that Ms Cooper took little persuading as the school is very close to her heart.

And she added that rehearsals are going very well and that everyone involved with the school is looking forward to a special evening She said: "I’m a volunteer for the charity side of the pre-school. Isobel is a mother to one of the children at the school.

"She hasn’t sung for a while so I think this event may be a bit of a comeback performance."

Ms Cooper has had three number one albums in the classical charts worldwide and has recorded with the London Symphony Orchestra at Abbey Road Studios.

The classical singer has also performed with the likes of Sir Cliff Richard, Lionel Richie, Charlotte Church and Russell Watson.

The evening, entitled 'Cancion', will see Ms Cooper perform live with some of her own students as well as the Spinfield’s Rock Choir.
