WINE lovers are invited to join a meeting of likeminded enthusiasts for a special First World War themed evening tomorrow night.

Marlow and District Wine Circle are looking for new members at their next get together on Tuesday, August 5.

Professional pianist Ian Simmons will accompany the club playing a variety of songs from the war era.

Anyone interested in joining should head for Liston Hall on Liston Road for 7.30pm and are advised to bring a wine glass and a bottle of their favourite wine or beer, plus water.

What is the connection between wine tasting and a world war? Was there a lot of wine tasting going on whilst killing each other?
