A PUPIL from Amersham and Wycombe College was one of the youngest in the country to achieve an A* in GCSE maths.
Christine Hoar from Amersham achieved the top grade aged 15.
She was home schooled before enrolling onto the GCSE maths course and Level 2 BTEC in IT at the college at the age of 14. She will now study Level 3 IT and GCSE English next year.
Christine said: "Maths is one of my favourite subjects but I didn’t expect to get such a good grade as the calculation paper wasn’t my favourite. "
Mum Maralyn said: "The college has been very supportive of Christine and has helped to boost her confidence. I can’t thank them enough for all they’ve done."
