Shoppers in Princes Risborough are digging deep to raise money for the armed forces and veterans as the annual town Poppy Appeal got underway on Saturday.
Tony Collier stood alongside his distinctive poppy figures outside Rowlands Pharmacy from 9:30am.
The Princes Risborough branch of the Royal British Legion will be selling poppies outside the Pharmacy, in Horns Lane, until November 8.
Tony and his wife, Dot, have been raising money for RBL through the Poppy Appeal for years, despite the Princes Risborough branch no longer having a base.
Mrs Collier said: "Saturday’s launch got off to a great start. We want to reassure people that we are still here selling poppies and that our branch is still up and running."
