AN ACTION plan over how to respond to a possible repeat of last year’s flooding will be put together over the next few weeks.
A town council working group was set up after a well-attended public meeting this month and met for the first time this week.
The group will welcome onto the panel residents who put their name forward at the meeting.
And the town council hopes to put a strategic plan in place to make sure reaction times are quick should river levels rise dangerously high again.
Issues are likely to include contacting vulnerable people to check on their welfare and the sensible distribution of sandbags.
A central point of communication for residents was also a popular suggestion at the debrief meeting at Court Garden on October 9.
