Stop and go boards will occupy the length of a Chesham road this week while gully cleaning takes place.
Buckinghamshire County Council will be carrying out the work on the A416 Ashley Green Road.
Work is due to start tomorrow and be completed on Friday.
Motorists are being warned of delays in the area while traffic control measures are in place.
