MEDMENHAM Pre-School is cele- brating being the only day care centre in Buckinghamshire to make it onto a list of outstanding childcare providers.
Ofsted began including child- minders and day care settings in their inspections from April last year and the first list of results was released in October.
The pre-school on the outskirts of Marlow, located at RAF Medmenham, welcomes children from both military and civilian families.
Sam Waite, the school supervisor, represented the pre-school at a luncheon hosted by Ofsted at Lancaster House in London at the end of last month.
She accepted an award on behalf of the school in recognition of its achievements.
She said: "We're obviously really pleased. My staff put in a lot of effort to make it extra special here. They go the extra mile to put the effort in and work extra hours out of paid time. They really deserve their success."
