Firefighters tackled a fire in a pub chimney in Penn yesterday evening.
Two fire crews from High Wycombe attended The Red Lion pub in Elm Road at 8.07pm on Tuesday.
Firefighters used a hose reel, four sets of breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera and a turntable ladder to bring the blaze under control.
Red Lion Duty Manager Perry Campbell said the pub was evacuated for around 20 minutes while the fire was dealt with.
He said: "It happened during our quiz night, but we got everyone back in afterwards and carried on the evening."
The pub will be open as usual today.
