Determined workers from a High Wycombe firm have rallied around a colleague to raise money for the hospice that helped his son, who tragically died on Christmas day.
Staff from MRIB will run this weekend’s ‘Tough Mudder’ in memory of six-year-old Charlie Kogel, who lost his life after battling against Meningitis.
The team from the insurance and financial advisory firm came together to raise awareness and money for Helen & Douglas House, who provided support to his parents, company director Justin Kogel and his wife Catherine.
Mr Kogel said: “I’m extremely proud that some of my colleagues have taken up such an exceptionally tough challenge for an amazing cause.
“Helen & Douglas House provided amazing support to my family throughout my son’s life and the money raised from this event will go towards helping other families in similar situations. I wish them the very best of luck."
Tough Mudder is a gruelling 12 mile obstacle course near Henley designed by British Special Forces, intended to test physical strength, stamina, team work and mental grit.
