A group of primary school pupils in Walters Ash worked tirelessly to create a new sculpture in their school grounds.
The budding sculptors from Naphill and Walters Ash School spent two days creating a tree sculpture in the school grounds earlier this month.
Braving the chilly weather, 60 boys and girls from year 4 worked with local artist Emily Cooling to create the project, which was sponsored by the West Wycombe Decorative and Fine Arts Society.
The first group of pupils constructed the willow framework, while the second group weaved the trunk and branches and created woven leaves to hang from it.
Jo Lavender, Deputy Head of the school, said: “The tree will have seasonal decorations added to it throughout the year and it will also become a focal point for outdoor learning activities.”
