A man has been sent to prison for 28 months for burgling a property in Amersham twice while doing work on the roof. 

While carrying out the work between March and April this year, Jason Vaughan, of Victoria Street, High Wycombe, went into the property in Hill Meadow twice without permission and stole valuables. 

The first time, at some point between March 15 and April 19, he stole a PlayStation and PlayStation games. 

The second time he entered the property, at some point between April 10 and April 16, he stole a drill and a charger. 

Vaughan was found guilty of both offences following a trial which started on June 1 at Aylesbury Crown Court.

He was sentenced to 28 months in prison at Aylesbury Crown Court on June 5.
