Thirteen properties have been targeted by burglars searching for gold and jewellery in Wycombe during the last two weeks.
Detectives are continuing to search for the people behind the recent burglaries in Booker, Micklefield, Loudwater, Totteridge and Marlow.
And, officers have now issued advice to residents following the recent incidents.
PC Dale Lister, said: “Please remain vigilant when securing your property, ensuing all windows and doors are locked, alarms set and timer switchers utilised.
“It is advised that valuable jewellery or large sums of money are stored securely.
“Police are continuing to patrol our communities and investigate burglaries when they occur.
“If you have any information about a burglary in your area or concerns about suspicious activity, please call police on 101 or 999 in an emergency.”
