The dedication of a group of Wycombe District Council employees celebrating 25 years of service to the authority was recognised last week.
Wycombe District Council Chairman Cllr Ian McEnnis and Chief Executive Karen Satterford presented Long Service Awards to staff members during a ceremony watched by family and friends.
The stalwart officers joined the council in 1990 – the year in which the demolition of the Berlin Wall began, Tim Berners-Lee created the first web server, Nelson Mandela was released from prison and Margaret Thatcher stood down as Prime Minister.
Cllr McEnnis said: “I was delighted to welcome the staff members and their family into the Chairman’s Office to recognise the outstanding service they have given to this council for 25 years.
"We value the experience of long-serving colleagues and know that this, along with their dedication helps us to deliver high quality services to our residents"
“It is a great pleasure to reward staff for their dedication to Wycombe District Council and I would like to congratulate them for all of their hard work over the years."
The council employees who received long service awards were:
Andy Sherwood - Contract Manager
Raji Shanmuganathan - Principal Technical Officer
Martin Andrew - Conservation Officer
Jamie Ford – Shared Support Services Technician
Russell Page - Debtors & Credit Control Officer
Ava Cashman - Processing & Administration Officer
