A park in south Bucks could soon be fitted with life-saving equipment after a fun run raised almost £1,000 last weekend.
An impressive 144 runners braved the cold to compete in the event at Wades Park, Princes Risborough on Sunday, competing in either a 1km or 5km course.
The event, which was organised by both Risborough Run in the Park and Risborough Rangers Junior Football Club, raised £906.50 - over half the amount needed to purchase a defibrillator to threat potentially fatal heart attacks.
Local councillor David Knights has also donated a sum of £350 towards the campaign which means the park need just a further £543.50 to achieve their goal of £1,800.
