The Polecat Inn, a charming 17th Century pub and restaurant, is nestled in the scenic Chiltern Hills in Prestwood.

The pub, which prides itself on having cosy open fires, a selection of fine wines and traditional ales and locally sourced fresh food, is also popular with visitors who come to marvel at the breath-taking countryside and their efforts were recognised last year with a Chiltern Society Walkers’ and Cyclists’ Pub Award for the Central Chilterns.

The Polecat Inn was also voted in the top 25 foodie pubs in the Times newspaper and they boast an extensive food menu with some traditional winter warmers to show you exactly why - homemade minestrone soup with rosemary focaccia to start, traditional British pies with mash and gravy, followed by bread and butter pudding, are just some of the dishes on offer.

The large outside dining area which offers incredible views over the Chiltern Valley is also perfect for families come summer time, with a giant play area to keep young visitors entertained for hours.
