A popular nightclub in Chalfont St Giles is set to close after councillors unanimously backed plans for its demolition at a meeting this evening (Thursday).
Winkers nightclub on Denham Lane, which has been open since 1971 and lies on the green belt, is set to be closed in order to make way for four two-storey homes.

It was third time lucky for developers after applications for the site were refused in February 2014 and July of the same year.
Councillor Jonathan Rush said: "At last we have a sensible proposal in front of us.
"There is no additional harm to the green belt and the nightclub is not a community facility."
