A teenage girl was airlifted to hospital yesterday afternoon after an incident at a popular new trampoline park in High Wycombe.

The girl, 16, suffered serious leg injuries at Rush UK Trampoline Park in Coronation Road, Cressex Business Park, and was flown to the John Radcliffe Hospital.

Sam Williams, founder and chief operating officer at Rush said the incident happened when the girl jumped onto a trampoline within the high performance arena and that the emergency services were called quickly, “ensuring the girl received the best possible care.”

The teenager was assessed at the scene when South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) arrived at 4.52pm before being airlifted to hospital.

Mrs Williams said: “We are in contact with the family and closely monitoring her progress. The family have watched our CCTV footage of the incident. The cause of the incident is being thoroughly investigated and we have closed the high performance arena during this investigation. We will make a formal statement once our investigation has been concluded and we have consulted the family.”

The Rush UK Trampoline Park was officially opened in December last year by Olympic gold medallist Denise Lewis and thousands of people have enjoyed the new centre, which includes an open jump arena, two dodgeball courts, high performance trampolines, climbing obstacles and a foam pit.
