More than 1,350 Wycombe residents have signed up to the Vote Leave campaign – about three times more than the support for all Wycombe’s political parties, MP Steve Baker claims.
The “delighted” politician has co-chaired a group of Conservatives campaigning to leave the EU since last year and was pleased to reveal that he has received a large support from his constituents.
Speaking to the Bucks Free Press, Mr Baker announced that 1,351 people had so far signed up to the anti-EU campaign.
He believes the “significant” total is at least triple the annual membership of all Wycombe’s political parties added together.
He said: “I think it’s remarkable that many people would sign up and I’m hoping we will see even more support when it comes to the vote.”
