Schools watchdog Ofsted wants south Bucks parents’ opinions on the work it does in an online discussion it will hold tomorrow (Wednesday) for schools in south-east England.

Parents from more than 1,000 schools from the region are being invited to take part in the event which will be hosted by senior inspectors Stephen Long and Hilary Macdonald at 7:30pm.

Spokeswoman Kim Tran said the aim of the webinar is to find out about what parents think is going well in schools and what could be better, and what they think Ofsted does well and could do better.

She said: “We will also talk about priorities for schools in the region and how inspectors try to get to the heart of what is going on in schools.”

To join in, parents will need a smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer and will be able to participate at any time during the hour-long discussion.

There will also be an opportunity to send in written questions and comments before the discussion, and an online poll will allow participants to give their views.

Ms Tran added: “We would like to invite as many parents of school age children to take part and contribute.”
