Chesham Town Council’s 2016 Annual Town Meeting will take place next week.

During the meeting, which is held at the Town Hall on Thursday evening, outgoing mayor, Cllr Peter Hudson, will award the status of “Honorary Freeman of Chesham” to Phil Folly.

Mr Folly, known for his various works with environmental and community groups, will be the second person to receive this highly coveted honour, following Vince Crompton.

Also in attendance will be representatives of Thames Valley Police who will give a review of policing matters in Chesham over the last 12 months.

The meeting will also be an opportunity for all members of the public to hear about the actions and policies that took place in the past year as well as plans for the forthcoming year.

The meeting takes place in the Council Chamber at 7.30pm and the council are encouraging residents to attend.
