The Labour party in Wycombe has hit back at comments made by the town's MP that its members had supported the EU Leave campaign, calling the "complete rubbish".
Last week MP Steve Baker said he had received cross-party support from groups including Labour as he hit the streets with former cabinet minister Chris Grayling to promote Brexit.
Labour spokesman Linda Derrick said: "Labour nationally is united in campaigning for the UK to stay in the EU. Wycombe Labour supports the national policy.
"Wycombe Labour supports the national policy and has been campaigning strongly to stay in.
"We understand Steve Baker is supported by UKIP and some Tory politicians but he is definitely not supported by us."
