Parents and pupils at a formerly ‘inadequate’ primary school came together at the end of term to celebrate a year of success, after it was taken out of special measures.

Current and future pupils of Bisham C of E Primary School on Church Lane were invited to the end of term party on Thursday, July 21 for a barbeque, bouncy castle and music.

The primary school was deemed ‘inadequate’ by Ofsted back in 2014, but staff are ending the year in high spirits following a ‘requires improvement’ rating – a step up from the previous result.

DJ John Johnny entertained guests with music, played games with the children, and got everybody up and dancing, including the parents and teachers.

Pupils also had the opportunity to have a kick-about with some of the Wycombe Wanderers football team, and get their nails done by girls from Great Marlow School, who came down especially for the event.

Parent Paula Sims, said: “It was really good fun and a great time. The school is on its way back up, and coming back into the community”.

The school is now on its way up, and has welcomed a new head teacher Hayley Broad.
