Celebrations continued at Beaconsfield School this morning following another successful year of GCSE results.
A total of 42 per cent of all grades were A* to B with 70 per cent of students at the school on Wattleton Lane gaining five A* to C grades.
Head teacher John Fletcher said the results show “hard work and determination” from pupils and builds on the “equally impressive” A Level results from last week.
He said: “The results represent another improvement in terms of outcomes given the students starting point on entry.
“We are extremely proud of each and every one of our students and wish them all the best for the future.
“We look forward to welcoming many of our students back in to 6th form.”
Among the high flyers were friends Becky Verhoven who got three A*s, five A’s and three B’s and Abby Matthews who got one A*, three As and seven Bs.
