PRINCES RISBOROUGH: Father Christmas and Britain’s Got Talent star La Voix will turn on the Christmas lights in the High Street on Friday, December 2. There will be live music and stalls from 6pm.

CHESHAM: Christmas in Chesham will kick off on Friday, November 25 from 6pm in the town centre. The town mayor will light up the town and a Christmas tree will be put up in The Broadway. There will be an array of fairground rides, community and charity stalls and carols on the evening.

AMERSHAM: A “magical” Christmas evening featuring Santa and his grotto will take place in the Old Town on Friday December 2 from 6pm. The grotto along with reindeer will be set up on Market Square as well as an ice rink. Lights throughout the old town and on the Christmas tree will be switched on from 6pm.

BEACONSFIELD: The Festival of Lights takes place on Wednesday, December 14 from 6pm in the town centre. In previous years there had been a lantern parade, visit from Santa and an array of stalls for guests to enjoy.

FLACKWELL HEATH: The Residents’ Association will host its switch on in the Jubilee Gardens on Saturday, November 26. Family festivities begin at 3pm with a tea party for children at the community centre followed by a carol service and the big switch on from 5pm. Children will be able to visit Father Christmas in his grotto.

SEER GREEN: Crowds will gather in Orchard Road on Thursday, December 1 for the advent calendar launch and Christmas light switch on from 6pm. The lights will be switched on at 6.15. The village advent calendar will give roads and venues a specific date to create a Christmas themed display for others to enjoy.

GERRARDS CROSS: The Gerrards Cross Christmas festival on December 7 will see the Christmas lights being switched on by a mystery celebrity guest. The festival, which will run from 6pm to 8.30pm in Packhorse Road, Station Road and Oak End Way, will feature late night shopping, Christmas gifts and crafts, handmade goods as well as food and drink and choir performances.

BOURNE END: The annual Christmas fun night on December 2 will kick off with the light switch on from 5pm in The Parade and Wakeman Road. The shops and businesses of Bourne End are teaming up with the community association and the Rotary Club of Cookham Bridge to stage the festive celebration. Santa will be in his grotto at the Bourne End Motor Company. There will also be a mini funfair and bouncy castle, while shops will be staying open late.

WOOBURN GREEN: On Saturday, November 26, at 4.30pm, Wooburn Green’s Christmas lights come on. The village will be celebrating at The Red Lion Pub on The Green, with mulled wine and mince pies. Father Christmas will be in his grotto to hear what the children would like in their stockings on the big day and Marlow Ukulele Group will be there to entertain with Christmas music. All money raised will be used for the maintenance of the lights. The Association has a big bill this year, as it is thought that a lorry knocked the lights out of the oak tree on the memorial green in June. 

MARLOW: National treasure, Mary Berry, will be switching on Marlow’s Christmas lights on Thursday, November 24. Mary will climb to the top of a double-decker bus outside The Chequers pub in the High Street to turn on the lights. Shops will open late, and there will be special promotions, offers and Christmas displays throughout the town. Switch on and Shop starts at 5.30pm, and the High Street will be closed from 5pm until 7.30pm for the switch-on ceremony.

IVER: Pinewood Studios is sponsoring this year’s Christmas tree lights in Iver as part of the Christmas lights event on Saturday, November 26. The event will take place from 2pm to 5pm at Iver Village Hall with the switch on at 4.45pm.

DENHAM GREEN: The Christmas lights in Denham Green will be switched on at 6pm on Wednesday, November 30 as part of the village’s Christmas fayre in Station Parade. There will be fairground attractions for children, a Christmas market with handmade crafts and gifts, a ‘golden ticket’ chocolate tombola, hog roast and festive entertainment at the free event. It will run from 6pm to 9pm with free parking at Denham Station.
