A 44-year-old pedestrian has died in a suspected hit-and-run on a busy dual carriageway.

The man, from Slough, was on A412 Uxbridge Road, George Green, on Sunday (December 11) when he was hit. Police confirmed his next of kin have been informed.

Detectives are investigating the possibility that the victim might have been hit by more than one car.

A 32-year-old man, also from Slough, was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop at the scene of a collision, causing death by dangerous driving and driving while unfit through drugs.

He has been released on bail until February 20.

Det Sgt Ashley Hannibal of Roads Policing said: “We are looking for anyone who was in the area just before 11.25pm and who may have seen the pedestrian or any other vehicles at that time.

“We know that he was hit by at least one vehicle but he may also have been struck by another vehicle or more and so we would urge anyone with any information to contact us as a matter of urgency.”
