A Beaconsfield company has been ranked as one of the fastest growing companies in the country.

Developer Aquinna Homes was included in The Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 list, which ranks Britain’s 100 private companies with the fastest-growing sales over their latest three years, joining top names like Innocent and Carphone Warehouse.

The London End-based company was founded in 2005 by Stephen Brazier and describes itself as “pushing the boundaries of design, of materials and construction”, creating homes for families in the commuter suburbs around London.

The firm saw a 64.23 per cent annual sales rise over three years.

Mr Brazier said: “The award means a lot to our company. We are a small dedicated team and have never strayed from our roots of creating homes which families can live in and call home.

“We have a number of developments in planning for 2017 and look forward to more families being able to appreciate our dedication to creating well-built and stylish homes.”

The league table is compiled by Oxford-based Fast Track and is published in The Sunday Times each December, with a glittering awards ceremony taking place in May the following year.

It has a tough selection criteria, with businesses having had sales of at least £250,000 in the base year (2012 or 2013) and sales of at least £5 million in the latest year (2015 or 2016) with operating profits of at least £500,000 in the latest year.

The only other south Bucks company to be included in the prestigious list was GreenTech Distribution in High Wycombe, which saw a 143.84 per cent rise in annual sales over three years.

Sir Richard Branson of Virgin said: “This year’s Fast Track 100 is packed full of entrepreneurs and family businesses tackling many different challenges head-on and thriving thanks to their team spirit and togetherness.

“Entrepreneurship and family values are at the heart of everything we do at Virgin.

“Like many on the Fast Track 100, we’ve turned a family business into a business family. Working with family works.”
