PICTURES - Hoping for a snow day tomorrow? Look back at years of snowy fun in south Bucks
High Wycombe could be covered in a blanket of snow later this week as temperatures are set to plummet to -2.
The Met Office predicts that Thursday could bring heavy snow at around 3pm, with light snow at 6pm and lows of around -2.
The weather service expects visibility to be "very poor" and the early hours of Friday morning could bring more light snow showers, with temperatures set to drop to -2 throughout the day.
It could feel like -7 at around midnight.
The Met Office has now released a yellow warning for snow, valid from Thursday at 10am until 9pm.
Rain moving eastwards across the south of the UK on Thursday may turn to snow in places.
The warning has been put in place across Bucks as well as Greater London, Oxfordshire, Reading and Windsor and Maidenhead.
However, it seems that the South East will be getting off lightly compared to the rest of the country, with severe weather warnings put in place everywhere else.
An "arctic maritime airmass" originating over northern Canada will bring a period of cold weather later this week with snow showers, strong winds and widespread overnight frosts.
