Police have issued a fresh video appeal following the death of 28-year-old David Pickup who was involved in a collision in High Wycombe.

Thames Valley Police has released a video following the incident in Hicks Farm Rise on January 16 at around 11.40pm.

Two cars– one black and the other silver - failed to stop leaving David to “die in the road.”

The black car has since been recovered, however police are still on the hunt for the second vehicle.

TVP has issued a fresh appeal urging anyone who may have seen the incident, or cars involved, to come forward.

Anyone who may have dash cam footage between 11.10pm and 11.45 pm in the Micklefield area on January 16 is also urged to come forward.

Investigating the case, PC Phil Hanham said: “A black car was later recovered by the police in this local area.

“We are appealing for anybody that has any information relating to the light or silver coloured car, its location or driver, to please come forward and speak to Thames Valley Police.

“We are also keen to speak to anybody that was in the Micklefield area on that night within 30 minutes of the collision who may have witnessed anything, seen the two vehicles travelling together or indeed may have dash cam in their vehicles as that footage may be crucial to our investigation.”

Two men, aged 27 and 25, also from High Wycombe, were arrested on January 17 on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and perverting the course of justice.

Both men were bailed until March 18.

A woman was arrested on January 18 in suspicion of perverting the course of justice and has been bailed until March 19.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact police on 101.
