There is heavy traffic on the M40 London bound near High Wycombe following a “serious” crash which has left one man injured.
Lane one of three is closed on the carriageway between junction five (A40 Stokenchurch) and junction four A404/A4010 (High Wycombe Handy Cross Roundabout) following a crash involving one car at around 3.30pm.
There are delays on the approach due to vehicles slowing down to look at the accident, according to the Thames Valley Police Roads Policing account.
A vehicle has been left on the motorway and emergency services including the air ambulance are at the scene.
Firefighters used hydraulic rescue equipment to release the injured man.
