Travellers have set up camp on a former cricket ground.
A number of caravans and other vehicles have been spotted at Seer Green Recreation Ground, in Park Place, as the Buckinghamshire best kept village competition gets underway.
The travellers are reported to have been on the site since yesterday (Monday).
Seer Green Parish Council confirmed it was aware of the travellers, with spokesman Liz Bates saying: “As of lunchtime today (Tuesday) the police and county council officer for travellers has issued them all with a notice of eviction.”
They have been ordered to leave the site, which overlooks The Chilterns Montessori School, by 2pm on Thursday.
Ms Bates added: “Because there is a Montessori school and two football teams that play there, we do need the land back.
“We would hope that this would not affect the best kept village competition. The parish council will check the area once the travellers have left to make sure it is clean.”
