A CROWDFUNDING campaign has been launched to give chemical attack victim Jo Rand a send-off as 'amazing' as she was.

As reported in the Bucks Free Press, Jo, a carehome worker, aged 47, sadly died of her injuries on Wednesday.

She had been sitting on a bench in High Wycombe on June 3 when she was splashed with the chemical after being 'caught up in an altercation.'

The mother-of-two suffered serious burns and was rushed to hospital, but has now tragically passed away. Police have launched a murder investigation and are asking for anyone with information to come forward.

Jo's friend, Owen Livett, has set up a fundraising campaign to pay for her funeral. Her children are only 17 and 22 and her family need as much support as possible at this difficult time.

In the tribute on the justgiving page, Mr Livett describes Jo as an 'amazing mother, friend and person.'
