Firefighters cleared 80kg of ammonium nitrate fertiliser, which spilled out on to the road near a school this afternoon.
A 600kg bag of the fertiliser fell of the back of an unknown vehicle on Chesham Road, near Dr Challoner's Grammar School, at 3.36pm, of which 80kg spilled out on the road.
Fire crews from Amersham and Beaconsfield, as well as an officer, were called out to the scene, where they swept up the fertiliser, put it in bags and covered it ready for collection.
