A large police presence was seen in High Wycombe town centre this evening following a football match.
Away fans were spotted being marched away by police horse units to the railway station and eyewitnesses reported seeing a huge police patrol outside the White Horse pub, in West Wycombe Road, as well as the Chiltern Taps, in Oxford Road.
It comes after the Wanderers’ 3-1 win against rivals Colchester United.
Eyewitnesses also reported seeing a man receiving medical treatment on the floor near the Chiltern Taps.
Thames Valley Police said officers were there to "police fans" from the match and confirmed a Colchester fan was injured, and that that they were investigating the circumstances.
