A train company is investing £2 million in a project to replace tickets machines in all its stations.
Chiltern Railways wants to replace the old machines with newer, faster machines with bigger screens and contactless payment facilities.
The new machines will also be wheelchair accessible with a screen that can be lowered for disabled users.
The new machines have already been put in place in Gerrards Cross, Princes Risborough and London Marylebone.
The project also includes a £1.5 million investment in on-station improvements like waiting and customer facilities and on-train enhancements.
Alan Riley, customer services director at Chiltern Railways, said: “We’re investing to improve the experience for our customers at every point in their journey.
“We’ve listened to the feedback our customers have provided, and this new, easier-to-use ticket vending technology is part of our long-term plan for change.”
