An emergency snow plough and gritter was sent out to Saunderton Lodge on Friday after three expectant mums went into early labour.

The mums became trapped in the lodge after snow drifted from surrounding fields and built up on the 400 metre driveway, causing vehicles to get stuck.

Kind-hearted volunteers and contractors worked to try and dig people out – however back-up was needed.

Transport for Bucks sent out a gritter and snow plough to save the day and the mums stayed inside until the time came for them to go to the hospital.

A statement from Transport for Bucks said: “Everyone at TfB is delighted they could help out and wishes the expectant mums all the very best for the safe arrival of their snow babies.”
