Long delays after car breaks down in third lane of motorway
There are delays on the M25 this afternoon after a car broke down in lane three of the motorway.
Two lanes had to be closed on the anti-clockwise carriageway between junction 17 for Maple Cross and junction 16 for the M40 while the car was rescued from the third lane by Highways officers and recovery vehicles.
While all lanes have been reopened, Highways England advised drivers to leave extra time for journeys because there are still delays of at least 25 minutes in the area.
