A Marlow actor will be performing in a spine-tingling evening of spooky tales this Halloween.

Gerard Logan, an Olivier Award nominee, will deliver three tales in Night Terrors, the ghost stories of E F Benson, on Thursday, October 27.

The audience will be transported to a darker, more sinister world of the unexpected and the unexplainable.

The three stories are The Dance, In The Tube and The Confession of Charles Linkworth.

The show will take place at the Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Maidenhead at 7:30pm.

He said: "I performed at Norden Farm in 2016. I was doing a play called 'Wilde Without the Boy' in which I was playing Oscar Wilde. '

"'Night Terrors' is entirely different. It is an evening of three ghost stories - written by E F Benson – and they are just wonderful.

"Benson was most famous for writing 'Mapp & Lucia' and, quite inexplicably, relatively few people know about his ghost stories. Come along and discover them for yourself.

"You won’t be disappointed."

Night Terrors has been underscored by the specially commissioned award-winning RSC composer, Simon Slater.

Logan continued: "The score was created not by me but the award-winning composer, Simon Slater. Simon has done a lot of work for the RSC, the National Theatre and in the West End and, personally, I think he is without peer.

"Simon composes the music for all my shows just as Gareth Armstrong always directs them. Simon came along to see a few run-through’s of 'Night Terrors' and created the score for each story from there."

He went on to say he loves all three tales but his favourite is In the Tube and told guests to expect ghosts, premonitions and hauntings.

Logan won the 'Stage Best Solo Performer' of the 2011 Edinburgh Festival Award for his performance in Gareth Armstrong’s production of Shakespeare’s The Rape of Lucrece.

He won the 'Best Actor' award at the 2014 Buxton Fringe Festival and was nominated for the 'Michael MacLiammoir Award for Best Male Performance' at the 2016 International Dublin Gay Theatre Festival for his performance in Wilde Without the Boy.
