TICKETS which sold out in record-breaking time to see comedian Ricky Gervais at Wycombe Swan have appeared on a resale site for more than £354, despite this being against the theatre’s rules...

Tickets to see the After Life and Office star's tour Amageddon: Work in Progress on January 17 in High Wycombe sold out and customers experienced 'issues this morning trying to purchase Ricky Gervais tickets."

People strugled to get tickets in the first place and were placed in a queue only to be "booted off the site when it comes to paying".

It placed a strict limit of six tickets per person, per household, and warned that any tickets purchased, resold or offered for resale in breach of the conditions may be cancelled and invalidated.

Despite this, tickets have appeared on ticket selling sites with prices up to £354 per ticket.

The Wycombe Swans website clearly states tickets should not be sold for profit and/or through unauthorised resale sites.

Bucks Free Press:

The BFP found tickets to see Gervais for sale on Viagogo costing between £354 for the Wycombe show.

Gervais reassured his followers on Twitter: “Loads of people who couldn't get tickets asking me if #Armageddon will be on Netflix. The answer is Yes! I will continue touring it throughout 2023 and then it will stream on Netflix around the world in 2024."

The Wycombe Swan said it is "aware of the issues that customers faced this morning trying to purchase Ricky Gervais tickets."

They said their "website is now back and working."
