BUCKINGHAMSHIRE farmer Will Young is the new favourite contestant to win Love Island.

The Aylesbury man coupled up with Australian bombshell Jessie Wynter has been named as the favourite to win the competition by bookmakers.

Jessie Wynter and Will Young are the new favourites at 9/4 to be the winning couple of this year's show with the pair hitting it off since Wynter's arrival.

Paddy Power have moved Wynter and Young into the favourites to win the show with Lana Jenkins and Ron Hall drifting in the betting market.

Entertainment Betting Expert Steve Madgwick said: "Jessie Wynter & Will Young are the new favourites with bookies to win this year's Winter Love Island after the public continued to warm to the new couple throughout this week!"

Will Young's odds to be the Top Male on this year's Winter Love Island have moved again in the betting market with the Farmer now the 8/5 favourite.

The winning male and female earn a share of £50,000, but this wasn’t always the case as before 2022 there was a potential twist, with one of the winning islanders being asked whether they would share the money with their couple or keep it for themselves.

Ahead of the series beginning, Will said that finding a girl who is interested in farming “isn’t a deal breaker but if she wants to come out and get involved, then that’s a bonus isn’t it”.

He added that having a vegetarian or vegan girlfriend would also not be a deal breaker and revealed “I went pescatarian for a while for a girl”, but began eating meat again “literally the day after” the relationship ended.

Will said he hopes the show will give him the opportunity to “separate the farm and have that period of time where I haven’t got to worry about the lambs and haven’t got to worry about work”, and reflected on whether his TikTok fame has helped him prepare for potential negativity or online hate which may come from appearing on Love Island.
