Students and staff are dialling up the nostalgia for a new musical straight out of the 1950s.

A production of the popular movie Grease! will show for three nights from February 1 to February 3 at John Hampden Grammar School.

The grammar school are pairing with Wycombe High School for their first production since Covid-19, which will feature a set originally used in the West End.

Director of Music at John Hampden, Mr Nicholas Rogers, has praised the efforts of both schools to showcase their talent and commitment to the show’s success.

He said: “We are helping to forge wonderful, lasting memories that will live long into the future.”

Students and staff have been rehearsing since autumn for the musical and had enthusiastic feedback from pupils at Chepping View Primary Academy, who saw a preview on February 1.

There are only a few tickets still available for Thursday, February 2, with returns only on Friday, February 3. Readers can visit https://thelittleboxoffice.com/jhgs to purchase remaining tickets now.
