Sam Grace and David Wates were seen taking charge at Wycombe Wanderers’ training ground as Gareth Ainsworth’s move to Queens Park Rangers edges closer.
Confirmed by a source close to the Free Press, along with a Chairboys fan who shared the news via social media, development coach Grace and head of sports science Wates, put the players through their paces ahead of this weekend’s away trip against Shrewsbury Town.

Both Ainsworth, and assistant manager Richard Dobson, were not seen on the training pitches, but this isn’t to say that they were not present at the Marlow Road site.

Additionally, the 49-year-old was due to appear on the popular social media football show, EFL Debate, on February 21, but this has now been postponed.
An announcement on Ainsworth’s and Dobson’s potential move to West London is expected to be confirmed this week subject to any change.
