The Easter Bank Holiday is an ideal time to put on good shoes and head out to the Buckinghamshire countryside.

Coombe Hill and Bacombe Hill loop

Top of the hill at the memorial has some of the best views across Buckinghamshire.

In good weather, eagle eyed walkers can spot the Prime Ministers’ country retreat Chequers.

Thames Path loop from Marlow

Distance: 3.78 miles

Take on the stunning riverside views during this easy walk.

The circular walk begins and ends in Marlow where walkers can stop by at one of the many pubs and restaurants.

Stowe gardens

The 18th century landscape garden is dotted with impressive temples and monuments.

Distance: 2.94 miles

The easy hike in the north of Buckinghamshire with vast views of the surrounding countryside is suitable for all skill levels.

The site was a hillfort during Iron Age and archaeologists have found evidence of ancient burial mounds and early farming in the area.

Burnham Beeches loop via Egypt Woods

Distance: 4.97

This intermediate loop takes walkers through the ancient woodland made famous by the ants featured in the new David Attenborough series.

The route offers a chance to see majestic old oaks, birds and other wildlife living in the ponds.
