Students in Buckinghamshire celebrated achieving ‘incredible’ GCSE results on Thursday, August 24.

Schools across the county shared photos of students collecting their results, as well as success stories and comments from proud teachers.

Philip Wayne, headmaster at The Royal Grammar School in High Wycombe said students had faced “very challenging times” during the Covid-19 pandemic but had demonstrated “remarkable resilience and determination” both in their studies and their wider contributions to the school.

Francesca, a student at Beaconsfield High School who scored all Level 9s in her GCSEs, said she was “incredibly happy and excited” about what lay ahead of her.

She added: “There were a lot of nerves this morning, but I am really pleased with how I did and I’m grateful to the school and teachers for helping me get there.”
