Some leisure centres in Bucks are offering free activities to get people moving on the National Fitness Day.

Everyone Active-run leisure centres in Buckinghamshire announced they will offer freebies as part of the National Fitness Day 2023.

The special day on Wednesday September 20 gives a chance for people of all ages, abilities and backgrounds to try new activities, including yoga, group cycling or high intensity sessions.

Buckinghamshire Council’s cabinet member for culture and leisure Clive Harriss said the fitness day is a “great opportunity to start making new lifestyle changes” for the long-term.

“Trying out new activities can be exciting, and thanks to the support of Everyone Active, even if you’re not completely sure what you would enjoy, it’s free to try! You can stretch, swim, cycle or take part in a range of friendly competitive challenges with others. You might even surprise yourself and find an activity that you enjoy so much, it doesn’t feel like exercising!”
