A health and fitness club in Buckinghamshire has announced plans to kick a 'huge' makeover of its facilities into gear next month.

The Marlow Club in Globe Park in Marlow is already one of the most multifaceted gym spaces in the county with swimming, boxing and cycling facilities, among others, as well as a bespoke lounge serving food throughout the day.

The state-of-the-art sports club is about to become even more so, however, with what a spokesperson describes as a “huge” transformation planned over the coming winter months.

Members will not only get to try out new and specialist equipment but experience new ways to work out and track progress, including through interactive workouts and personalised training in brand-new and refurbished workout areas.

New equipment coming to the gym will include a glute machine, a pendulum squat, a hack squat, a smith machine, extra cable machines, extra lat pull-down machines and curved treadmills.

A purported "aesthetic overhaul" will also begin next month, including a complete flooring replacement, a new ceiling design and new energy-efficient lighting to "revamp the entire look and feel of The Marlow Club".

The club spokesperson described the renovation as an "exciting" step towards the provision of "the ultimate fitness experience".

The makeover is expected to take place over the coming months, with a grand unveiling of the new and improved sports centre in December.
