The Aylesbury Waterside Theatre bagged a top award in the annual Buckinghamshire Business Awards.

The illustrious event, held at the end of September, recognised the excellent theatre in Exchange Street as the winner of the Tourism, Leisure and Hospitality Business of the Year Award, sponsored by Stoke Park.

The Hampton by Hilton High Wycombe and Horwood House Hotel came in as close runners-up.

In addition to acclaimed West End shows, live bands, and comedians, the theatre regularly hosts an array of enthralling events which confirmed its place as the cultural hub of Aylesbury and the surrounding villages.

This commitment to local arts and community spirit also earned it the Community Champion Award.

The ceremony celebrated various sectors.

The National Paralympic Heritage Trust won the Digital Innovation Award due to their leading work in 3D photogrammetry, while the pub chain Moogies, known for turning pubs and restaurants into sustainable community-focused businesses, secured the Net Zero Ambition Business of the Year Award.

Furthermore, Visit England bestowed two Buckinghamshire attractions with Visitor Attraction Accolades, which celebrate excellence within the attraction sector.

Odds Farm Park received a Gold Award, and the Roald Dahl Museum & Story Centre was recognised with the Best Told Story.

Meanwhile, the Caravan and Motorhome Show saw two Bucks campsites triumph.

Cholsey Grange in the Chiltern Hills was acknowledged as Best Certificated Location in England, showcasing panoramic Chilterns views from its five fully serviced hardstanding pitches.
