A Metropolitan Police officer from Buckinghamshire has been charged with rape.

PC Callum Utley, 25, who is attached to the force’s West Area Command Unit, has been charged with the crime and is expected to stand trial in April next year.

The alleged offence is said to have been committed in Beaconsfield between July and December 2019.

Utley, who is from Penn, was charged by Thames Valley Police via postal requisition on May 12 this year.

On May 25, his lawyer indicated a not guilty plea at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court.

He is currently suspended from duty.
